Bonsai Care Watering Tips

The very first time I came across a specimen of bonsai art, I never even realized that I was witnessing an art form. Bonsai plants actually help calm down their grower because the simple act of trimming the plant requires a relaxed, happy soul and bonsai will not settle for anything less. Wisteria is one of the top bonsai an enthusiast can consider growing.

It was a while before I could track down his father and get to know more about the bonsai specimen. He referred to the lemon tree as a ‘stunted, genetically short’ specimen that his father cultivated. The only clue he threw my way was when he said it was something called ‘bonsai’.

Bonsai Care Watering Advice

The pots themselves are part of the art as well, chosen to compliment the shape and color of the tree itself. The shapes are usually a product of both the pruning of the tree and through the use of wrapping the trunk and branches with wire, pushing the tree into its desired shape. Mosses and rocks are often added to the base for aesthetic appeal.

There are various kinds of bonsai. These are the slant, formal upright, informal upright, raft, literati, cascade, semi-cascade and the forest/group. The slant style bonsai is like the straight trunk of any upright trees.

Interesting information on bonsai care watering. Bonsai was used in the Meiji period during the late 19th century. The Japanese have a saying: water three times, each one for the pot, the soil and the tree. The raft bonsai is considered to be a phenomenon because it takes place after a tree is toppled from natural force or erosion. Come back often as we keep adding new information on a regular basis!
